Chelmsford City Council is pleased to announce the return of the Get Better in Chelmsford programme—a free, six-part workshop series designed to equip local businesses with practical skills and strategies to succeed in today’s competitive environment.
Now in its third edition, the programme is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered in partnership with local marketing experts Better Agency. It forms part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting economic growth and resilience within Chelmsford’s vibrant business community.
Beginning on Thursday, 29 May, the series will run weekly on Thursday mornings at Patch Chelmsford. Each hour-long session will provide actionable insights and hands-on learning across a range of essential marketing and business development topics, including:
- Creating content that reaches all 4 corners of Google
- Building a marketing machine: enhancing AI implementation
- Pitching to win
- Understanding data in GA4 and Search Console
- Utilising direct mail marketing
- Making video work for your brand
Designed with sole traders, start-ups, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in mind, the sessions aim to deliver immediate value through real-world knowledge and expert-led instruction.
In addition to the live workshops, the Get Better in Chelmsford initiative also features a growing library of podcast episodes. These insightful conversations with past participants, guest speakers, and industry professionals offer behind-the-scenes stories, marketing advice, and practical tips to help local businesses grow and adapt.
